Happy Fall, GIS families! We’re looking forward to a fun season of holiday celebrations, fundraisers and volunteer opportunities.

Thank you for helping make GIS such a warm, welcoming community. We’re grateful for all the ways our families pitch in to make school special for our students and teachers. Wishing everyone a happy fall season!

PTO HIGHLIGHTS

---

We had another fun-filled and successful event at the GTHS Oktoberfest! The children performed some favorite German songs about the season. The PTO also raised $1,250 from our sale of baked treats - way to go! Special thanks to all parents who volunteered, especially our talented bakers Cile Freundt, Rebecca Price and Sarah Schmidt.

The first field trip of the year was a great success for the 1st, 2nd and 4th graders at the Blanton Museum of Art. The children learned from volunteer art experts about different styles of art and created some art of their own. Special thanks to Michaela Schubert-Owoo, Rebecca Price, and Renae Virata Meyer for volunteering their cars and time.
